Thesis Promotes New Creative Director

Portland digital agency Thesis is pleased to announce it has promoted Joe Carolino to Creative Director and hired Britta Lundstrom, Michael Rosenau, and Jaime Barrett as Design Directors.

Carolino will lead creative for all agency accounts including Adobe, Taco Bell, Aramark, Dollar Shave Club, and the world’s largest athletic shoe manufacturer. An award-winning talent, Carolino originally joined Thesis in 2019 as Design Director. Prior to that, he worked at Instrument, and R/GA, designing successful digital products and campaigns for leading brands such as Ralph Lauren, Target, Hyundai, Luxottica & Hermès, and the world’s largest athletic shoe brand. Carolino will serve as the creative conduit between clients and the agency while mentoring and managing Thesis’s Creative team. Additionally, he will collaborate with Strategy and Partner Services to grow the agency’s business while also innovating and evolving design practices through the day-to-day work.

Britta Lundstrom, Michael Rosenau, and Jaime Barrett were also hired as Design Directors. They will be responsible for creating and executing digital campaigns for the aforementioned partners, as well as clients like Oregon College Savings Plan and Providence Provider Solutions & Development.

A veteran creative professional, Lundstrom has conceptualized and executed design solutions for global brands including Sony, as well as many start-ups and non-profits. She most recently served as Art Director for a children’s educational brand, Slumberkins. Rosenau, an award-winning Art Director, has worked with Amazon, Coca-Cola, and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). He joins Thesis most recently from Wieden+Kennedy where he led a design team in the production of large-scale brand campaigns for the world’s largest athletic shoe manufacturer. Barrett brings experience from having partnered with clients like Microsoft, Cirque du Soleil, nonprofits, and B-Corps. Her most recent role was leading a cross-functional creative team at Cambia, a health-care-tech company in Portland, creating and building a brand-design platform for Journi, a human-centered, health/wellness product and service.

These new hires come during a time of significant growth for Thesis, which grew revenue by 74 percent and added 45 new team members in 2019. Since January, the agency has continued its hiring surge, adding another 15 team members, bringing the total employee count to 135.
